About Greenrock

Pedro runs Greenrock in Rockland, MA, and does all of its buying. Every product on the menu is his call, and every dollar spent on inventory is his to defend.

01 · Before

He knew the rules. He couldn’t see the numbers.

Pedro’s rule is simple. A product sells 0.7 units a day and hits its gross profit target, or it’s out. Miss the bar and the vendor gets one shot at a promo. Then it’s gone. His budtenders live by one more number: a $60 cart average, minimum.

The rule was never the problem. Seeing which products broke it was. Sales data lived in Tableau and Headset, both billed per login, so the owners, Rob and Greg, ran the reports. Pedro asked, waited, and slow sellers kept getting reordered in the meantime.

And on Mondays, it showed. Pedro has free rein over what Greenrock buys, but every call has to come with proof. When the owners built the report, they knew the answer before he said a word.

02 · The shift

Dead stock, found in 6 seconds.

Now Pedro types one question into Nuggy Chat: what are my 100 slowest SKUs? The list is back in 6 seconds. One click into any product shows him exactly why it’s there. Ask him what he’d miss most if Nuggy went away, and those are the two things he names.

Nuggy menu health actions: stop ordering, move to shelf, and increase order

His inventory team works from the same screen. They clear the “stop ordering” and “move to shelf” actions every week, so slow product stops coming in the door. Pedro watches the alert that makes money: “increase order,” which tells him a product is selling fast enough to buy more.

“I’ve been handing more of the buying to my inventory team, and Nuggy’s been a big help. They jump in and find what they need on their own.”

With everything on my plate, slow sellers slip under the radar. Nuggy catches them and tells me to stop ordering.

03 · After

Money goes into what actually sells.

Every slow product that comes off the order list is cash that stays in the bank. Every “increase order” alert puts that cash behind something already moving. And every call Pedro makes on Monday comes with his own numbers attached. The owners check his reasoning and trust him; they no longer have to do it for him.

“Now I walk into these meetings with my own numbers, my own reports, my own data.”

Calculation: average monthly units sold (Jul–Sep 2026) × wholesale cost, across the 61 products Greenrock stopped selling in October. Return = savings ÷ Greenrock’s Nuggy subscription.

04 · What’s next

Ready for the slow season.

Sales drop off at the end of the year. Most stores find out the hard way, with a backroom full of product they paid for in October. Pedro is going in the other way: smaller orders, less cash on the shelf, and Nuggy pointing at exactly what to stop buying.

“Nuggy is a really good tool for general managers and procurement managers who are just trying to keep their inventory right.”
